  2. This might be the right move but such a slap to the face of all Americans who are struggling student debt, medical debt, COL living increases, etc.

    Adding to this, I am not just referring to this. I am talking about all of the AID we have given recently. If you add it all up, its some serious money we could be using to improve the lives of every American.

  13. We either borrow money to give it away or print our money to send it overseas. We have to be the dumbest nation in world history. We drive up our debt, increase inflation to send our money overseas while our people struggle to have 500 bucks in saving for an emergency. We live paycheck to paycheck, have debt for education, medical bills, on and on.

    Such a bad idea for decades now. When will we arrest the insanity and take care of our people first. Tired of seeing homeless people sleeping on the street to send money to Palestine that we fucking know Hamas will take under threat. So stupid.

  18. To some degree I totally agree with you. But, the world isn’t that simple. The Middle East is on the brink of a crisis and giving money away in hopes to prevent a region wide conflict is worth it, 100%. Imagine the price of gas going up 200%, the recession it would trigger.

    Btw you can’t treat national debt like personal debt. We aren’t at a healthy debt level, but it’s not like we are on the verge of a crisis.

  38. People are probably confused why Egypt and the US aren’t distributing more aid. It’s not because they’re callous, it’s because it’s hard to prevent Hamas from corrupting it for their own purposes.
