  1. From World of Tanks regarding their bundles, of which 100% of the proceeds benefit Ukraine:

“…we have a whole studio back in Kyiv that works hard to deliver features and events to World of Tanks despite all the terror their country is living through every day. The most notable of their works are Frontline and all parts of the Mirny event, with the third coming out late October.

Over the past year and a half, Wargaming has been contributing to donations to help the Ukrainian civilians, including 1 million dollars donated to medical assistance and equipment during the first week of war and 100,000 dollars donated to the victims of the Kakhovka disaster. Hundreds of our employees have been making donations through their own initiative, launching an internal fundraising campaign and gathering 200,000 euros to purchase ambulance cars for Ukrainian medics. Now, we are inviting you to join us in support of those who have not been spared by the war and launching our biggest charity project yet—WargamingUnited.”

  2. IIRC correctly, this is (originally) a Belorussian company, with a huge Russian player-base. So a bit awkward…

  3. BTW this company is owned by a Belarusian company that relocated after the war started.

Someone can help me get this correct. VK or VKontakte is a russian social media company. That from what I recall at the start of the war the ownership was not give passionately enthusiastic supportive for the war. Coincidentally one of the Senior executives disappeared and died. Yes he was in an exotic dangerous location. But ton of multi millionaires do these types of things without dying.

Maybe a European or Slavic person that was paying a lot more attention and can read other resources, can chime in and tell me I am being paranoid. And Russia isn’t that vindictive over the smallest of things. but man that looks so suspect to me.

But hopefully the ownership of Wargaming doesn’t drop their guard anytime soon.

  4. Waste of money. Just donate directly to Ukraine.

THe game company is shit, scummy and never listened nor cared for it’s player base (they put many money grab schemes and pay to win tanks for sale). And they are a Belorus company…

  5. Good! I was wondering they would do something.

Put Ukrainian flags on all my good tanks a year and a half ago.

  6. Cool, I ground the Challenger 2 in CW mode on console for 3 weeks specifically to put a Ukrainian flag on it and blast vatniks.

  7. Glad to see that my foolish decision of spending over 400€ in this game turned out well…

    Edit: /s
