  2. This is the second time this week I’m going to say something positive about a sitting minister that I can’t really stand, but he’s right. Fair play to him and the rest of them for seeing it that those people In Gaza need help and are sending aid. Food, water and medical supplies would probably be better right now than money, but I don’t know if the IDF are stopping aid going in. Its all a terrible sad fucked up thing. I hope it comes to an end soon. Like right now. No more fucking killing each other. Sit down at a table and talk it out for fuck sake. Who wins when at the end of the day your digging graves for women and kids. Just fucking stop.

    Sorry, bit of a rant. But it’s my view on it. As two of the greatest dudes ever to walk this earth, past and present, once said. Be excellent to each other. It’s really not that hard.

  4. Micheal Martin (FF) is genuinely one of the most decent politicians we’ve ever had. He’s always impressed me.

    I especially like how he doesn’t try to “gin up” one part of Irish society against another, the way FG and SF try to.

    He came from a terraced house in a council estate in Cork. Two of his children are dead. He’s brought in free primary and secondary school books, refurbished 150 schools and built / is building 150 more. Two of them are in my area.

    He instructed FF to buck the trend at EU level and to prevent Europe from cutting off aid to Gaza – the motion failed.

    I could list about a million other decent things he’s done, but I’ll take MM over snarky Leo any day.
