So in our stay here i Malta we had a little accident in the apartment we rented trough booking.com. We broke a small window panel in the old balcony door. Do any of you know how much something like this costs to replace? The owner tells us that this takes 2-3 days of work and costs 118 EUR. Does this seem right? Thanks for any help

Well in a wooden door like that it’s a pain in the ass to get it changed. You have to remove the wooden straps that hold it in place without breaking them or damaging them ( the hard part ) replacing the glass is easy , then sanding the wood pieces so you can stick them back on and re painting the wood so that where you broke the paint or made damage cose they could have been fixed on by nails can be repaired and re painted . I won’t be surprised if the cost does run up to 118€ cose its take some skilled craftsmanship to do it all.
As mentioned before, you’re paying mainly for the work put into it, not the glass itself. Removing the wood, taking out the pins, replace, filler over pins and potentially damaged parts, sanding, 2 coats of paint. Potentially rushed because it needs to be repaired before the next guest. Pretty reasonable.
