It’s embarrassing on the international stage to push votes that have no chance of success. I’m torn between wanting a functioning government and wanting a Republican dumpster fire, but it’s pretty obvious that no one is in control, they’re lying to each other, and nothing is getting done. We’re paying these people, it’s not ridiculous to expect them to do their jobs. Any other job that spent a month to get nowhere is looking at deserved restructuring
I still think democrats should find a moderate republican to elevate to speaker. It would be a loss for democrats to an extent, but it should be done to attempt to change the direction of the Republican Party.
