The article is rather imbalanced, but the fact that we have to deal with a “reset in relations” with Russia for the 235th time is indeed ridiculous. Every Western European leader believes *they* are going to get it right because all it takes is to understand the “mysterious Russian mentality”. They just refuse to admit that “special mentality” is just obnoxious amount of chauvinism mixed with historical complexes.
If Russia is unable to properly communicate with even other East Slavs, it’s a lost cause for everybody else, or at least for those that are not seeking to form some anti-Western coalitions (which is the only way Russia finds political allies these days).
