I really really really don’t want to wear a mask again (but will if I have to). Please don’t close bars again, my birthday is coming up
1) when you have a cold, wear a mask when you go out.
2) when you have a cold, don’t go out to party etc.
It’s embarassing this still needs to be said.
I think if we go into lockdown again I will have a genuine mental breakdown.
My work has a vaccinrate of 91%. Not gonna worry too much.
I understand that people are sick of it, I really do. Lockdown was pretty soft on me, but really not looking forward to going back. My biggest problem has always been the delay. Experts begging for weeks or months to than take some measures while it’s to late. I would love to hear a plan, a future proof plan. If that than that, it can’t be that hard! Than people see the limitations coming…
Well, at least I have an excuse to still avoid handshakes and kisses on the cheeks.

But there’s no need to panic. And I suspect politicians will be a lot slower to impose, if any at all, restrictions.

According to the data on Sciensano, the wave of hospitalizations and the death rate are so far rather meh compared to the previous waves.
Wasn’t the point of vaccination towards presumed herd immunity (or equivalent status) to reduce the medical load, not to eliminate it?
Considering that vaccination largely only makes you non-susceptible to the symptoms and health effects, but not prevent spread, how long do they intend to keep this shit up?
There is a few things I don’t understand. Maybe you can help me out.
We all knew that the vaccine does not prevent getting the virus, it simply helps in getting less sick. So why is the government spreading panic about the 4th wave. What are they not telling us?
Are the people with covid in the hospitals vaccinated? Fully vaccinated?
How old are the people that are in the hospitals?
I personally have to take a 3rd vaccine because my immune system doesn’t work properly. The elderly also have to take a 3rd vaccine. I guess it’s time to organize a 6monthly vaccine round for everyone until eternity?
This makes me especially excited to come visit tomorrow!
Everyone will get confronted with Delta at this rate. With over 50% protection from infection and over 80% infections without symptoms many of us will be confronted with the virus without knowing it.
I mean it’s 6500 on Monday… Don’t believe this for a second. We are at least at 20000 like last year, we just don’t know it.
I have kept my ffp2 masks on everywhere I go, got a great deal on them when they were on fire sale on Amazon and I’ve got some of those soft plastic face mask “extenders” so I don’t hurt my ears anymore, I definitely recommend getting some of those online.
Wow, infections increased after the mask mandate ended. So surprising. Who could have seen that coming? Certainly not the Netherlands, where that exact situation didn’t happen at all.
