The income of Greece is so low compared to all other Orange countries, it’s insane how high the price of gasoline is here. In some places it exceeds even 1.8.
In the US we pay less than $0.8/L. And that’s way more than it was last year. Wow

I seem to recall a similar comparison from years back that also included a list of liters pr average wage, that resulted in the list flipping on its head. Basic thing is that local prices will be to a degree adjusted to fit local wages and spending ability.
In Italy gas prices include a lot of emeregency taxes, called “accisa”. Over the years, many accisa taxes have been added to the price of fuel.

Just bulid more nuclear to fix this guys.
Luxembourg is the Portugal this time.
Norway, I get it that you’re a high income country, but you mine this shit, you should be green
To Luxembourg I go
Plenty of spots in Lithuania with over 1.42
I want to 🚗drive 🇹🇷turkey To fill up⛽️ but there is f.cking so much distance! 😡😡😡😡🇵🇹
Sweden was closer to 2 euro/litre last time I checked.
In kosovo the price is similar to macedonia, but it changes depending on which gas station you’re going to
>= 1.78 for The Netherlands? You mean >= 2.11, we passed the 1.78 ages ago
I’ll drive to Turkey. It’s only 3000 km. I’ll earn that back on price difference. O wait. 15 Lira the litre. Minimum wage 4250 Lira. My car takes half of minimum wage. Imagine. I have a small car.
And I thought it was high in Germany. Damn that’s crazy
The price of gasoline was what started the France’s GJ.
Few months ago Finnish petrol prices peaked at over 2eur/l. Gladly I don’t have my old petrol hungry car anymore.
Jesus Christ I’m lucky
I guess this is some type of median, but you can get cheaper than 1,42e consistently in Spain. I put it around 1,31 yesterday (lowcost), but there’s a big gap even 30ct difference in a 10km area with more than 20 fuel stations.

I wish it was that low for us… Fml
When I was on vacation near lake Kerkini, Macedonia, Greece, I was crossing into Bulgaria just to fill with gasoline.
Isn’t ***petrol/benzin(e)*** more commonly used in Europe?
Edit: apparently gasolina is only used in Iberia. https://www.reddit.com/r/etymologymaps/comments/gmjz2j/gasoline_in_different_european_languages_updated
