Spain returns to pre-pandemic employment levels thanks to creation of 776,000 jobs in 2021

  1. Way to go! Having lived in Spain for a while, it was heartbreaking to see such a gorgeous and liveable country have the worst unemployment, literally my biggest gripe. Hopefully, Spain has come to realize during this pandemic that placing your whole economy on the shoulders of tourism is not a safe bet, and that it will start slowly turning around for them.

  2. If you look at actual percentages it’s not too impressive.

    It went from 16.26% in Q1 2020, to now 14.57%, dropping 1.69%

    For example in Comparison, the US went from 14.8% in Q1 2020, to now 4.2%, dropping 10.6%
