Scotland could lose two Westminster seats as boundaries redrawn in plans

  1. For a bit of further information

An independent commission makes proposals for redrawing boundaries based on trying to keep constituencies roughly the same size across the country (ie so that each votes are roughly equal) and to try and keep them covering similar areas

The proposals are then either voted through or not.

Just clarifying before anyone things that England is doing the dirty on Scotland here (tories bad etc)

  2. In a pure strategic point of view, Scotland independency is the survey is relatively high and the current PM is pushing for it.

Wouldn’t it be better to avoid giving a new argument to the SNP « they even reduce our weight in the main Parliament 🤬🤬🤬 » ?
