  1. honestly I am an Italian following serie A from dozens of years this is the first time I see him nicknamed maradona, nobody in serieA ever called him like that probably his managers

  2. Kind of the script for this generation of Italian footballers. Bernardeschi, Veratti, Donnarumma, Tonali, etc were all eagerly expected to carry Italy into the future, but they just haven’t developed like the great Italian players of the 90s and 00s. That grit and camaraderie isn’t there. The attachment to their local clubs isn’t there, and thus the results suffer. Tonali is/was a tremendous talent that is being squandered.
