Charlie Hebdo’s cover this week: Hitler overwhelmed by the antivax “it’s hard being quoted by morons”

  1. NSDAP did actually loosen vaccination mandates. They realized with having many Germans “on the move in foreign lands” is dangerous and they did keep smallpox mandatory.

  2. Quite sure it would be people pushing for mandatory vaccines that would sounds like him…

I’ve seen a lot of dehumanisation recently against so called “no vaxxed”.

And as we did back at some times in history: “I would like to add, I’m saying this as a vaccinated person”. Switch vaccinated by whatever you want.

  3. More piss-poor satire from the world’s least funny magazine.

Wow, such a lot of downvotes. I can’t believe there are 33 people in this world that find Charlie Hebdo funny. Try Private Eye instead.

  4. I think in general the narrative that so many people are some hardline anti-vaxxers is overblown. Vast majority of people which are not vaccinated are just lazy to do so or simply dont see the importance.

  5. This is just a low effort cartoon, hinging on “hitler bad”. Vaccination should not be politically weaponized. Skepticism is not a political stance.

  6. In addition to the Jew yellow star, there is also the play of words on “pass sanitaire” that antivaxxers call “pass nazitaire”.

  7. people mis-associate authoritarianism with the nazi occupation of europe.
Yes, the nazi’s were authoritarians, but not all authoritarians are nazi’s.

There are valid reasons why someone can be against the vaccin, such as that the content can kill due to allergies, thus forcing everyone to get one or to be treated as a second-class citizen, harkens back to those days.

For americans, it would be the equivelant of going back to the jim crow era if that rings any bells.

  8. It’s not possible to have a fair discussion about this topic on Reddit. As usual the majority is right and can dictate on the minority. So, always remember to be on the majority side.
