  1. In the GOP race to the bottom it’s the Christofascists vs the Batshits

  2. This whole fiasco has been worth it just to see the arrogance of Gym Jordan deflated. He genuinely thought he was a mini God like character in the GOP.

  3. We needed the federal military to escort black people into school back in the day. I’m not surprised by their recent immaturity

  4. One of them is going to get injured or worse, will blame the other side

  5. In related story, I’m having to buy more popcorn to keep up with this soap opera

  6. Good. Maybe they’ll figure why previous generations of politicians stopped short.

  7. Conservatives gave up on the constitution, the bill of rights and the peaceful transition of power. Every election season will be marked by violence from here on out.

  8. And tells you how the would govern if given the chance. Fascist

  9. Remember this quote?

    >Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

Subtitute “the law” with any sense of social structure. The caucus, the conference, the party. All that’s happening right now is a fight over who, inside the Republican party, is the actual in-group.

This happens because ever-shifting, ever-narrowing in-groups are a core component of right wing extremism. It starts with outlining a common enemy, and then once that common enemy has been defeated, a new enemy must be designated, which means that by necessity people who were once part of the in-group must now be part of the out-group.

“But wait!” I hear you say. “They haven’t actually owned all the libs yet. How can the in-group already be shifting?”

Well, when Donald Trump said that conservatives would get sick of all the winning, and that turned out not to be the case, a scapegoat had to be allocated. Not the Leader, of course. Never him. But maybe those not loyal enough to the Leader? It’s the fault of those pesky, order-defying, incompetent generals!

Keitel, Jodl, Krebs, and Burgdorf must stay in the room.

  10. The problem started when they elected and decided to follow a narcissistic crotch grabbing New York con man and grifter whose claim to fame was being the star of a TV show

  11. Wonder when they are all going to start wearing brown shirts 🙄

  12. Check out your local ballots, from schoolboard elections on up, and you’ll see that the current congressional-GOP dumpster fire is like a beacon for lunatic fascists who want in on the action.

Vote against this at every turn.

  13. Feels like a lot of people with daddy/love issues fighting out for daddy Donald’s approval and love

  14. It’s right out of the Trump playbook, when you have nothing to offer you attack.

They hitched their wagon to a runaway horse who’s headed foe a cliff.

  15. This is the natural path of fascism, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

  16. Not surprised. Standard operating procedures for fascism.

  17. Night of the Long Knives.

We should all specifically analyze and intentionally use techniques to turn them on each other.

We can’t stop their bloodlust, but we can try to redirect it to their self destruction

  18. This is why rules and norms are important.

It’s also why it’s important that Dem’s don’t emulate Republican’s shitty tactics and bad faith acting.

You can use it for political expediency, however, it will destroy you in the end.

  19. Its the same thing that will happen within states after they have exhausted attacks on “the others” they will need to redefine who “the others” are and assault them.

People cheering for restrictions of rights now will be restricted later by the same mechanisms.

  20. I’m wondering why no one has called the FBI yet? Threats to a Congressman family is a Federal Offense(18 U. S. C. 115) Why hasn’t the FBI stepped in? The only way this shit stops is if somebody steps up and calls them on it.
