  1. First for GO FORTH AND SPREAD for the MAGAness

lmao what a bunch of chumps

  2. Oh Good, let’s see what the GOP clown car produces for us today.

  3. Good morning, everyone. Time to put on today’s movie: it’s Groundhog Day. Again.

  4. I would rather have speaker who does not seek Trump’s support.

  5. Has anyone been nominated as the front runner? I don’t think I’ve seen any coalescence around one person?

  6. Posting this discussion thread while the secret balloting in the GOP caucus is still ongoing because I will be on the go today and it’s way easier to format this on desktop than it is on mobile. The first paragraph will be updated with information as events occur.

  7. I’d be very surprised if we get an actual vote today. They seem to intentionally be slow rolling this to be as obstructionist as possible.

  8. Out of the current crop, Emmer probably has the best shot. Which is, of course, to say none, because the MAGAdivision will not support him.

But he probably has the plurality of votes.

  9. Round 2 tally per Politico and Punchbowl News:

    Emmer: 90

    Johnson: 37

    Donalds: 33

    Hern: 31

    Scott: 14

    Bergman: 7

  10. Seems awfully time consuming to have these manual rounds of balloting. IRV/AV/RCV (three names for the same system, I guess Americans just call it ranked choice) would have had it done in one go.

I assume they’re using the time to lobby each other

  11. At this point I hope we have some dems vote for emmer. I don’t want him but he’s the least offensive option we have. Obviously I’d take Hakeem any day.

  12. I think Emmer needs to get to 111 to secure the nomination.
