Just look at the heatmap of our striker vs their striker. This reminds me of messi at psg where he sometimes needed to drop deep in order to get any balls (if his midfield is not in control or make progressive passes). I feel like we are heavily let down by our midfield (kimmich, laimer and musiala) today. If we keep continue like this its surely gonna be a painful season for us

Kane is literally carrying this game, the saddest part is, he shouldn’t be the one moving in that area, just as you say, we are lacking in the midfield.
