Despite Orban’s 100% media control, the anti-Russia protests in Hungary are growing. Yesterday, thousands marched to the Russian Embassy chanting “Russia f*ck off”.

   All the articles I can find talk about the protest yesterday, from their national day. I’d love to hear that they morphed into a more permanent movement.

This is great to see, but did want to note that Budapest itself has become an island of sanity within the country per [election results](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Hungarian_parliamentary_election#/media/File:2022_Hungarian_parliamentary_election_-_Tentative_results.png). Hungary really resembles the USA in the urban/rural political divide. The progress that is needed to take down Putin’s fanboy is grinding down Fidesz’s insane numbers in rural areas.

10. This has been brewing for the better part of a century. I’m envisioning a general uprising against the Ruskies over the next 10 years. After Ukraine liberates its country, **everyone** still under a quasi-Soviet yoke will be inspired to shake it off.
