No wonder, digital literacy is amazingly low in this country, even among young people. Oh sure, they use TikTok and Facebook and Messenger, but beyond that… a distressingly huge number of them is completely hopeless. I’ve met people twenty years my junior who were unable to change their phone background(!!!).
I bet they are much happier for it.
No data for Russia, I see. Heard that Windows are much used. IS! IS! I meant to say is!
Greece still stuck in ancient times.
I didnt know not using the internet was an option
What’s up with Croatia being so dark? Too many old people?
Most of them used, they just don’t know that fact
Would be more interesting to have the data grouped by age. A pensioner isn’t really expected to be economically productive so not using internet is meh. But working age people not using internet, that’s like being an invalid in modern economy.
How come these maps always have all of europe, even countries that aren’t in the EU, except the UK? Is it some punishment because half the population wanted to leave the EU, that’s a bit petty isn’t it? Especially since just nearly half the population didn’t vote to leave.
Norway is chronically online confirmed
Saarland is worse off than East Germany? Really? lmao
there is simply no way in 2022. maybe not everyone uses internet actively but bro you got 3.5g even on the nokia phones
I didn’t know the Netherlands already reclaimt the enteir IJselmeer.
I can understand it. If you live remote and have everything you need in the village or at a homestead.
In Sweden we don’t have copper cables for old phones anymore so everyone who has ever used a phone must have used the internet so no excuse for the old people, even my grandmother 84 or so has an iPhone
“This poll was conducted via Google Polls”
Fun fact, the region where the most people never used the internet in France is the region where there is the most seniors too.
😳😮
I had an expirience earlier this year with an older gentleman in norway.
Me and a friend had accidentally sat down at the tech help desk at the library on the one day they were open (whoops) but the tech help just wasn’t there so we thought it was free.
An older man approaches us and asks for some help with some tech stuff, we weren’t at the time sure why, but we think we’ll help the best we can. He wasn’t sure how to read his emails, and how to find a specific one, and which ones were important or not. I was shocked, i’ve never expirienced someone so unfamiliar with the internet who isn’t a literal child. Not that it is a bad thing, i was just shocked, i guess my brain just kind of forgot or assumed such people can and do exist still.
I get it in work where older people say they don’t have the internet as though it’s an achievement.
It’s just like ok you don’t get to watch Brooklyn 99 whenever you want or get next day delivery on an industrial amount of mayonnaise. Your loss
For Ireland I’d say loads of old people swear not to use the internet then immediately post about it on Facebook.

This is basically a map that shows where all the old people live
It shouldn’t be hard to find 60+ people who never used it.
It would be interesting to know the definition of never habe used internet
Oh no, northeastern and eastern Hungary barely uses internet and votes 90% Fidesz? Color me shocked
Fake news, according to a recent Yougov poll 100% of people use internet

[This just came out, too](https://hvg.hu/360/20231024_hvg_biro_pal_google_digitalis_gazdasag_e_kereskedelem_talalos_kerdesek)… (article in Hungarian) “In Hungary over half of SMBs have no website.”
