I wouldn’t go this far. Currently, Russians are only financially motivated to join this war, because RuAF offers 10x average salary for 1-year contracts. What I’m seeing is a dilemma for Russian people. The war doesn’t have large support, but at the same time, Russians don’t want to lose the war either. It’s a conundrum, fallacy of sunk costs or the uncertainty of loosing the war.
And in the end, what’s left of them will be scooped into a trash bag and thrown in a pit.
Nevermind, they don’t deserve a bag, or a pit for that matter.
Russians fighting to increase Putin’s territory by 1%. Ukraine is fighting to preserve their entire cultural identity.
