5. There were news reports in the summer about Nepalese men being recruited by Wagner so it is not that surprising there are some on the battlefield.

16. not surprising at all, russia has been “recruiting” (or rather lying to & then kidnapping” immigrants and foreigners for a while now

18. India has severely cut its Nepalese contingent, between that, extreme poverty and a decades long communist insurgency. Russia is seen as a golden opportunity

19. I may be misremembering this but I thought I saw recent posts on Telegram showing Russian police grabbing immigrants all over Russia and sending them to this war.
