Pronounced Cloak of armor?
A class II relic.
In fairness Cú Chulainn was some lad
Have you never looked in the window of the GPO?
I love how intertwined with our landscape is with our myths, legend and history. Thanks for sharing this. That looks like a website that bears further reading too.
Also, there may be another reason this is called the stone of the big fella. It looks like a giant willy. Even more so than the lia fáil lol
One of the bizarre things about Cuchulainn is how loyalists are trying to claim him.
Yeah, the guy fought other Irishmen from parts of Ireland from what would now be south of the border, but the Irish speaking hurler from Louth would totally hold the door open for a bunch of English speaking planters from Scotland and London.
I take it that OP follows indianastones on Instagram as he made a post about this stone also.
If not I recommend any and all of ye to give him a follow. He’s unearthing many ancient stones around Ireland that have been lost to time, many of which were stones of strength.
There’s a stone in my local village my grandfather put a lot of work into restoring and displaying in the green. Only myself and a handful of others knew of it, and he came out to see it. He managed to give it a lift off the ground as well. First man in many a year to do so.
Really hope this one remains unvandiliased.
