Noticed a few other places like pizza takeaways running much better than usual promotions too with discount codes.
With inflation still high and unemployment figures rising too, I think stuff like this is a decent indication the next couple of years is going to get very tight for businesses and households.
At least the bankers got their bonus caps removed though eh, silver linings and all that..

Just tells me they’ve been sticking the hand in the last few years
People are eating out less. If they want the customers, they need to work for them at the moment. Some places do stick their hand in and have been.
A couple of these ‘Bespoke Smashed burger’ joints have opened up near me and the prices they are wanting people to pay for stuff you can get half the price next door is mad.
A £10 menu, but an extra fiver for chips or salad? Sounds like a £15 menu to me.
Seems good until you realise the starters are shite and there’s a 50% supplement if you want chips with your burger.
Yeah, this looks like £14.95 for a starter and main with a side. That’s hardly a discount at all.
Kinda sneaky to call it the £10 menu and then make you pay £5 extra for a side.
Not many people order a main without a side.
Don’t like sneaky.
Wouldn’t be for me.
Curiosity got the better of me and I rang them. Doesn’t include a side but you can swap out your starter for a side..
So basically a ten quid main course with side. Meh, still decent but misleading. Crafty fucks.
