Republicans inhabit an alternate reality. To see their representatives laugh off the insurrection would seem perfectly normal to them.

Independent journalism is a pillar of democracy – and treasonous Republicans are waging war on democracy. Everything they do is an attack on the pillars of democracy and democracy itself. Everything. Call them out – disqualify them, deny them and defy them. Rise up and defend democracy.
And the chorus of “four legs good” one again erupts as soon as somebody questions the leader.
To be fair, the reporter failed to follow Republican rules of decorum, which is instead to break in through a window and throw a fire extinguisher at a cop. That’s what happened. That’s what they promoted, protected, and continue to promote and protect – insurrectionists and oath breaking.
They knew this question was coming. Mike Johnson wrote what is called the “Texas Lawsuit Amicus Brief” or just the “Amicus Brief” for short. It was one of the initial documents that called for not certifying the election results that lead to the insurrection.
The press needs to be pounding him on this, and barring that, we the people need to be.
