  1. Good, a sane politician that knows how hateful that chant is

  2. As it should.

But oh oh incoming protests and threats of terrorism in the name of Gaza

  3. It’s a literal call for genocide, so I don’t know why more people won’t.

  4. Thank you. Finally. It is a cry for genocide, used by people who falsely accuse Israel of genocide. It’s ridiculous and cynical.

  5. The situation is escalating fast, and the ground invasion has not even yet begun. Europe will not be spared being pulled into this. I agree with the chancellor, but the scope of the problem just continues to escalate and getting more serious.

  6. Absolutely!

Between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea there is already a country, called Israel.

“From the river to the sea” is a call to supplant that nation.

  7. Good. Palestine being free should not mean kicking the Jews out.

  8. The thing is, every time Israel talk about Palestinian territory as theirs it’s the same amount of “call to murder” than a Palestinian talking about Israeli territory

  9. Good to know there are still sane people in this world who see the absurdity in this sentence

  10. If only “A land without a people for a people without a land” was held with equal contempt there might be some semblance of balance.

  11. It’s shameful that so many governments aren’t pushing for ceasefire when so many civilians and children have nowhere to run.

  12. Can someone explain the history of this phrase? When it became a common slogan? What was the context? The first time I heard it I thought it meant that Palestinians should be free within that geographic area. But I get the impression from a few subs that it has more sinister intent.

  13. Should be a rule across all of Europe. It’s absolutely ridiculous that people were allowed to say that in protests.

  14. The PLO used it back in the days to say that there would be one state of Palestine with equal rights for jews and palestinians. This Can bé a call to violence but it can also be something else.

  15. Lots of condemnations for cries for genocide, not a lot for the genocide that’s actively happening

  16. “Kampf” just means struggle bro

    “Jihad” just means struggle bro

  17. Is it ok if I say “From the West Bank to Gaza, Palestine will be free”?

  18. I hear this phrase parroted a lot by Americans on social media. I’d like to think many of us just don’t know geography, but is their solution for a “Free Palestine” to remove the nation of Israel? I don’t really know how it could be interpreted any differently.
