Is it a controversial idea to suggest that elected public representatives should not be allowed to have business interests?
The salary is enormous, the pension is very healthy, there’s a large number of allowances, expenses etc.
There is no need for them to be owning businesses to make more money and there are so many conflicts of interest that arise from it that make it grossly unfair from a competition standpoint.
