  1. 35% is fairly low, id also point out the older age group (49% pro) are also the age group who voted for out of the EU.

Nice to know the Brexit voters in wales have a new goal in life.

  2. The indy movement in Wales is based on an irrational hatred of rich, posh people in South East England and a fear of anyone that doesn’t think like they do, rather than having a moral or economic basis, all topped off with a subjugation complex that tries to make Welsh people feel like victims.

We’re going to get a Labour government in the next GE that is outwardly pro-working class and anti-elitist. This is Plaid’s and Yes Cymru’s worst nightmare. They secretly want the Tories to win to peddle the same crap that they’ve been spouting for decades that keeps them in their cushy public sector jobs.

    It will never happen. Ever.

They’ve wasted the opportunities of the last 13 years through scandals, poor leadership and an ideological disdain for English-speaking Welsh working class people that they are seemingly unable to overcome.

    Still, roadsigns ey?

  3. Pretty sure 35% is less than it was in the past by a few %

  4. The actual figures without the don’t knows removed are:

    Yes: 31% (-2)

    No: 59% (+6)

Study conducted 14-15 Oct. Changes with 14 Aug

I have no idea why the don’t knows get removed. They’re actually a very important statistic as it shows how many voters are “up for grabs”. The Brexit referendum polling predicting a Remain win was only ‘wrong’ because they kept ignoring the don’t knows (most don’t know responders ended up voting leave).

The fact that “No” is up 6 points in 2 months suggests there is a long way for the Independence movement to go.

  5. Gimme a break. 3 million people doesn’t buy much economic and political influence on the world stage. And how exactly are we gonna defend ourselves from emerging threats from Russia and China i.e cyber attacks, election interference, economic warfare? And don’t say we’ll rejoin the EU because they won’t want the hassle.

  6. Cymro Cymraeg here and I want to live in a world with fewer borders, not more.

If you think we would be better as a country, supporting out own military, police and diplomatic missons abroad with the tax we can raise, them you’re as delusional as the pro-brexit people.

I used to be pro independence, then I looked at the hard facts. We are better as part of a greater whole, just like the UK in Europe.

  7. I’d support independence. There will always be issues being independent, but at least choking on London’s Tit while they hoard all the wealth won’t be one of them as it is now

  8. Having heard the arguments for it, I need something a bit more than ‘it might be ok’ before I can vote for it and endanger my kids futures.

  9. I’m Welsh and proud of it but if you think that having dickford and the plaid cymru lot who have Thier heads up Labours arse running the country then no thanks I rather not be independent

  10. Will save the English having to bail out Port Talbot every couple of years in return for having Bed-And-Breakfast in small letters on every second house
