That’s one of the big problems: you can’t deport people to nowhere. The German politicians are making a lot of noise on this issue but I think it will be just noise in the end.
This cannot possibly go badly and end up as massive headache down the line

We already are seeing a bunch of people on social media complaining about this. Apparently, now it is racist to deport criminals

What will they do when home countries refuse repatriation? I think you need to hold such criminals indefinitely to provide a real disincentive.
So what from 0 per year to 10 or something?
Still room to improve, but a step in the right direction for those who can’t be bothered to follow European laws and culture
this headline doesn’t sound so great if you just finished watching some History Channel
