Seen a lad on one of these on a footpath in Limerick recently.
Now do Ballyfermot.
Good. Absolutely being plagued with them just outside Limerick where we live. Hopefully here is next.
Good news
what happens with these bikes? are they crushed or do they go to auctions or what?
Whats always pissed me off in relation to the policy on these is as follows:
I do understand the “no chase” policy as it is likely to only enhance the danger the idiot on the scrambler is already causing and let’s face it, the idiots probably want the buzz of a chase as well.
However, in many cases I suspect the Gardaí already know well who the owners of the bikes are and they would be well within their rights surely to seize the bikes after the fact especially if they have footage of them being used in a dangerous way in a public place. From my experience this rarely happens. Whether they’re not arsed or don’t have the resources to be chasing such things. I suspect its somewhere in the middle.
So I’m glad to see a corner may be being turned on this. Anytime I go to Limerick, I’m amazed by the amount of roundabouts where you can see tyre marks all over the grass in the middle from gobshites acting the maggot on these bikes.
