Seriously though, dangerous dog laws really need tightening, and those XL bullies and all other not-quite-a-pitbull breeds need to go.
Ideally, pet ownership should require a license. Loads of animal owners out there who have no idea what they’re doing and have no control over their pets. Pet owners should be fully liable for everything their pets do.
I have seen many videos of dog attacks now and, without fail, the bystanders are completely useless 99% of the time.
The poor man who got mauled to death recently… there were three men… three! Stood around him literally doing nothing. The man managed to plead out “go get a knife” and they still just stared at him. It is just unbelievable.
The boy in Scotland who got mauled recently… again two adults stood next to him hitting the dog with a bloody mop. What is that going to do?
Here’s how to act as a bystander:
What NOT to do:
– Don’t just bloody stand there dumbfounded, watching someone get torn to shreds in front of you. This is the most common response.
– If the pitbull sinks its teeth into someone, do not pull the dog and victim away from each other. It’s not going to let go, and you’re just helping it tear flesh off.
– Do not hit it with sticks or slap it or give it a pathetic kick. It’s completely and utterly useless, the only thing you’re going going do is give the dog an orgasm.
What to do:
– If the dog is wearing a collar, grab the back of it, pull vertically up and twist. You’ll choke the dog out within seconds.
– If you’re outside your house, run and grab a knife and stab it. Especually if you’re a woman since you won’t be able to do this next step very well.
– If there’s no collar and no weapon, put it in a chokehold and squeeze with all your might as if you’re trying to pop it’s head off. Put all your body weight on top of it so it can’t go anywhere.
– Otherwise, you can simply gauge its eyes out. It’s gruesome and goes against all your natural instincts but anyone should be able to so this. Even if you’re getting attacked you can try this.
The good news is that once these dogs decide to attack someone they get tunnel vision for that person. If you’re not being attacked it should be pretty easy to get in and disable (kill) the dog, as long as you actually act with ferocity.
