Israel is right to ignore any requests to “pause”. No one is really asking for a “pause”. They are trying to get a permanent stop but know that is too much to ask so they are trying to get them to pause, hoping that “resume” will be harder to do than “continue”. No one asking for a “pause” has any intention of ever saying it’s ok to end the pause.
If even United States, your strongest ally, is starting to get enough of your shit, that’s a pretty good indication you’ve lost the moral high ground already some time ago.

Objectively although I am an armchair politican in terms of my understanding, I think hamas will just use this opportunity to continue with their activities which will cause Israel to retaliate and the pause will collapse and more people will be dead by the end.
