To get that many votes from such a divided group, he’s had to make major political concessions .
Let’s hope Ukraine funding was one of them .
Another catholic nut job.
The us is truly a mess.
He’s openly opposed support for Ukraine which is pretty much down the middle for MAGA republicans which is very much is. I’m sure backing Israel will be fine however because it always is with these evangelical chuds.
Face value, it’s certainly not fucking great for Ukraine. Expect more of a shit show as usual in the house, luckily Biden and democrats are looking to roll up Ukraine with Israel, Taiwan, and spending for restocking US stores. The last part hopefully will be the saving grace, defense companies are heavily invested in republican led states in terms so as much as Republicans like to cry like a little bitch in the media about money being spent in Ukraine’s defense, the vast majority of those dollars go to their states and districts. Best hope is the Senate digs in and refuses to pass anything for Israel without Ukraine being attached.
Good news if we can get Ukraine spending locked in we only have to deal with this douche for a year until the general election next year.
As long as Ukraine aid can be tied to Israel, I think all will be well. The problem, though, is I’m not sure if the House has authority to strip Ukraine aid out of such a bill.
