Despite it being designated dress up day for Halloween in the office, I learned a bit more about how the UK handles Halloween today 👻
You’re 5 days early, mate…
No one in the world cares about it as much as you guys. Wait until you hear about Thanksgiving
“No man can buy coffee for me!”
“I am no man!”
“Oh, sorry Sandra – in that case, soy latte 2 sugars please. Thanks love”
“Nine rings were gifted to the race of Men, who above all else… desire pumpkin spice”.
As someone who didn’t get to celebrate halloween as a kid, the spookier the better. Bravo!
Damn, is this the full Witch King suit from Etsy that’s like hundreds of pounds?
We most certainly fucking do! In my experience it’s not sort of children trick and treating thing but more as adults in parties having drink ups and wearing costumes in house parties and clubs.
You’re not allowed to take things too seriously in the UK so your costume needs to be kinda crap otherwise you’re trying too hard.
This feels like attending my performance review tbh.
Because America has very little history or culturally significant events to celebrate so they cling onto anything. I mean, they celebrate St Patrick’s day ffs.
