How about posting the whole article instead of rage baiting with headline like “Finland ranks again as the most racist country in the EU”. 13 out of 27 EU countries were on this study, so this study is missing over half of the countries in EU and this is just one graph out of the whole study.
Not saying we’re doing good or that there’s no racism here, but this is just rage baiting.
Sorry can I get a translation of the header of that chart? What is it measuring specifically? I doubt it was just a phone survey asking “are you a racist”
In the Finnish parliamentary election in 2019, the person who got the most votes got his popularity by writing a blog about psychometrics and iq differences between the blacks and Caucasians. The blog suggested that African countries should be under a monopoly of violence run by the Caucasian people. Now, this person holds the third-ranking member in the Finnish order of precedence. In the parliamentary election in 2023, the person who got the most votes was influenced by the blog and found her political home within the blog’s readership. Outside of a few places, The Finnish online political discussion is dominated by racists.

There weren’t any black people in Finland before the 1990’s. Nor any immigrants even. The number of immigrants has increased over tenfold in the past 30 years, so the change has been rapid. Last year, more people moved to Finland than there were babies born in the country. Additionally, many immigrants have been refugees and asylum-seekers, which had lead to real problems with some of them.

Funny to see that countries which have taken more refugees (Germany ect) are more racist that Poland for example. Polish government has been super strict about refugees and migration.

Because it is. Lived here for 18 months, moved from Sweden. Casual racism at my work place, from my relatives etc is sky-high. I’ve witnessed more of it in 18 months than I have in 32 years in Sweden. I always get down voted for saying it 🙂

Except that the security guards always started their ahem rounds just when i was browsing the shelves in x amounts of stores.
Or that one asshat racist TE toimisto lady that, when she heard what country I was from originally, she paused my interview to go and put her bag away and lock the door of the room she put the bag in.
Or that time x official called me something kinda like a ‘Pretty smart for a gypsy’
Or that one time….

Many Finns will day that this is not true but I have heard some terrible stories from my friends about what they have had to exprerience living in Finland.
Then again it only requires a small amount of people to do these things. I think the people who do actual racist attacks are a small minority but they have become more agressive. Empowered by the normalization of racism by some politicians.

As a black person, any discussion on racism with white people is pointless since nothing is racist for white people. Even the n-word and the m-word aren’t racists. Only Hitler, antiwhite racism and affirmative action are racism.
And if I mention Hitler, only the main guy is racist: the uniform is not racist, Nazi flag not racist and the salute is not racist.
