I confess that I expected this to be an Onion article.
Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Now he is the friend in low places.
Damn… that’s Murica right there
I miss Chris Gaines.
Where are the Bodies Garth?!
I can’t wait to drive to a Bass Pro Shop, buy a CD and then try and figure out a way to play a CD!
Now THAT is country!
What in the fucking fuck?!
Pretty sure he was exclusively with Walmart music at one point. Its all about money with him
Daddies and Paw Paws rejoice!
Isn’t he also a democrat? No really. Serious question.
If only he would release the location of the bodies, families need closure at this point.
Get the album free when you purchase a bass boat
Chris Gaines is back on top!
Never Stop Stopping?
tfw you realize you had no idea what he looked like without his hat on
Chris Gaines would never pull a publicity stunt like this.
The last thing I expected, nor care about, in todays news feed.
All I want is to be able to listen to his whole discography literally anywhere. Due to his iron-clad licensing deals, you can’t listen to him *anywhere* that actual people listen to music. He’s not on Apple Music or Spotify. Hell, you can’t even listen to his stuff on *youtube*. He’s got his crap under lock and key.
I was actually listening just tonight to the one album of his that somehow got around the death grip of his licensing agreements. It’s a live album from 1995 performed in Germany. It’s the only trace of him on Apple Music.
It’s absolutely baffling to me that he was the *definition* of country in the 90s, and you can’t listen to him anywhere. This guy was the fucking Elvis of country. The Michael Jackson of country. The Beatles of country.
And he’s disappeared without a trace. Whatever money he’s making from these crazy isolating deals. idk if it’s near as much as he would’ve made had he just released his music on the major platforms and, you know, let people actually *listen* to his music.
Seriously. I know country music has a stigma for a lot of people, but I dare anyone to listen to his greatest hits and not walk away with a new understanding. The man has, perhaps, *the* greatest catalogue of songwriting masterpieces ever recorded by an artist who didn’t primarily write them. I want to listen to these bangers and let them haunt me like they did when I was a kid.
I don’t even live the states anymore. There’s nary a Bass Pro Shop on this side of the planet.
Wonder how long he’ll be walking free. Where are the bodies, G?!?
I knew there was a reason I’ve never been in one
Damn I just heard thunder? Forecast didn’t call for rain.
I just want to know what happened to Granny, Garth.
Pretty eco-friendly to know your target audience, where to find them, and to skip shipping to places where the product would gather dust.
