They were working for a defense service provider owned by an Omani national, and he was arrested alongside them. He was released but they got sentenced to death. No other info was disclosed.
Fairly senior officers too (equivalent to captains and majors in the army). Since the charges were not even made known, it isn’t likely to be a “normal” criminal accusation. Sounds like a diplomatic disaster in the making.

I was scammed by a hotel in the Qatar airport. That’s the only knowledge or experience I have with them. Fuck Qatar.
This is horrific, but the first paragraph made me laugh:
