  1. The centre north-south line that divides Europe in half runs through Torún in Poland if you consider European eastern boundary to be the start of the Ural mountains (which you should).

  2. One can question why Norway is western, considering that it reaches as far east as Istanbul…

  3. Maybe we should stop taking country borders into account, when it comes to regions of Europe.

  4. I say Central Europe is an idea mostly desired by the Polish. Even Germany isn’t central imo. How could it be, when East-Germany is allready Eastern Europe?

  5. Note this is not a serious map showing the cultural or geographical regions of Europe I’m just using the latitude and longitude lines to divide Europe if those two lines where to intersect at Prague.

This was more just a fun project.

  6. georgia, armenia and azerbaija would be better off north-eastern because of sscb past

  7. I think the EU institutions should move from Brussels to Prague.

Beyond Grand Place, Brussels is simply a disaster and a shame for Europe. Prague is cleaner, safer, more civilized and much more beautiful.

Grand Place in Brussels is very beautiful, though. That is the best I can say about Brussels.

  8. Well thats the end of the Benelux. Denmark you want to join us in NL and Belgium? We have fries, beers and bicycles.

Also funny to see how Italy is considered to be mixed, but the San Marino, Vatican and Malta are south west. Would be obvious to just put those in the same group.

  9. Wait, so Bornholm is actually Swedish by right of Prague centrism? I can get behind this message.

  10. Thrace Turkiyë is European yes but Anatolia is not, overral good

  11. Im shocked of how ok im with this one.

Edit: nope, ive just realized that Switzerland and Luxembourgh are considered south and that just doesnt feel ok at all

  12. I like how Norway is both more north, west and east than Sweden.

  13. Germany: I’m Central Europe in all 4 quadrants.

    Austria: You are missing one.

  14. Inbefore Romanians swarm this thread insisting that they are central European and that they have nothing in common with the eastern european slavs surrounding them.

  15. Yeaaa anything but being grouped with Russia thank you very much

  16. Shouldn’t Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina be just southern since they sit just south of central Europe

  17. Team Blue would win regardless of if this was who has the most oil or who is gayest.

  18. A map of Europe not split right down the middle, culturally and politically being the most incorrect map known to man. Finally.

  19. Honestly, seems like the most reasonable divide between east and west Europe to me. Even parts of southern Italy conveniently end up east of the line.

  20. Was it hard to just write south or east instead of mixed whatever? Cool map BTW

  21. Now I understand what Estonians feel when they see these maps.

This just feels wrong and weird.

  22. Austria seems a bit better but this is above 90% of European region topology maps.

  23. Everything to the East of Finland,Germany,Austria and Italy is Eastern Europe.
