I could sit In my house on my own for the rest of my life and still manage to catch covid
I won’t say I’ve never caught Covid but I’ve never tested positive for it
As far as I’m aware I’ve never had it.
I went through two airports and joined 72,000 people for a match last week so I figured this would be the time, but I’m symptom-free and testing negative on antigens. Booster tomorrow.
Do I win a prize?
The secret is to catch it in August like I did. 5D chess
Why did that have to end. That is far and away the most interesting post of the year!
Whole town is either in isolation or has covid now, it really does pay to not have any friends.
I thought I caught it before Christmas, given the constant headache.
A couple of days ago, the same headache started up again.
Now, I think it wasn’t covid, but a lack of going outside for fresh air in substantial amounts. I’ve had 4 negative tests I the past 2 weeks. So yeah..
Still very much covid free!
As far as I can tell I’ve never had it
Me. I’ll probably get it any day now.
What’s the total number of cases we’ve had so far?
I’m immune compromised and I have a heart condition and I just never leave the house. Thank goodness for decent internet, deliveries from the shop, and an exercise bike; I’d be going mad by now.
I’ve been a close contact to 4 selerate people who’ve had positive tests. I’ve had so many tests that my nose feels like a cocaine addicts. Atleast they’ve all been negative
My family has been doing this to visit my grandma. She still lives alone at 92.
Honestly like 40k cases in two days
Literally how I feel right now. Working as an assistant manager in retail, my manager, supervisor and 3 out of 8 other members of staff all tested positive on antigen tests this week and most are still trying to get a PCR test.
So me and the remaining 5 staff have to cover x5 shifts per day over the next week to two weeks and thats if no one else gets it..
And for the past 2 years, none of us have got covid.
its more like sitting perfectly still for 2 years. Its been the opposite of a wild ride.
Done an antigen test this afternoon and came back positive. Great start to the new year!
Me yesterday Ye Jesus it was hard but got thru it me today I’m fucked
The trick is to find a safe space away from danger and not move from there. The Princess is in another castle anyway.
For a while in early 2020 my GP thought I had covid but then it turned out to just be some kind of bacterial growth in my left lung. So.. hurray?
Currently the only member of my household that hasn’t caught it yet and I’d really like to keep it that way.
I’m shocked I haven’t caught it yet. Working in a super busy shop where most people don’t seem to be able to put a mask on properly or social distance at all. Plenty of colleagues have caught it and I’ve been in close contact with some of them.
Is quite easy, I just didn’t go anywhere
I haven’t caught it yet but I think my luck is about to run out. Gf has just tested positive
I’m presuming I’ve caught every variant going and been asymptomatic to them all because I worked behind a register serving hundreds a day maskless for the last 700 days without even a sniffle. (behind a wrap around perspex screen and about 5 feet from double doors open hail, rain or shine for massive ventilation.) I can tolerate an FFP2 when out doing my own shopping for a couple of hours but not a whole work day.
Presuming constant and likely recent exposure to every cold causing Corona Virus gave me a good enough B and T cell response to OG SarsCov2 to render it asymptomatic in me….which boosted and matured my B and T cell and also antibody response ready to take on Alpha and Beta…..which boosted and matured my B and T cell and antibody response ready to take on Delta…..which was then boosted by my 2 doses of Pfizer during the Summer…and boosted again on the Monday before Christmas with a Pfizer booster. I’m ready for ya Omicron!! LOL.
(Haven’t had a single respiratory infection since about 2012 so 10 years now. ie. not a single runny nose, blocked sinus or sore throat. 30 years behind a register serving hundreds a day means I’ve probably caught and am immune to every single cold causing Rino, Adeno, RSV and Corona virus out there by now)
“Well, everyone is going to end up getting it at some stage anyway so what’s the point is isolating or any of that shite” – My BIL, who had symptoms Christmas eve but went visiting multiple households on Christmas day and promptly tested positive on St.Stephens day……..Jesus wept.
Not that difficult when you’re introverted
It finally got me yesterday, no PCR yet but the antigen and symptoms paint a clear picture.
At least I don’t have to go back to work for a while now.
I’ve been very, very lucky. Was exposed twice when I was working in the office, negative both times. Happened to change jobs to something work from home, and moved into a solo apartment, so it sort of takes care of itself. My friends all have young kids at the moment, so I’m actually not missing out on anything socially.
What has been cracking me up is that my cousins etc knew that for the three weeks or so before Christmas I was making a very conscious effort to mind myself so I wouldn’t bring anything home, and they cannot get their fucking heads around it, no matter how sick they’ve seen people get. If I get it that’s one thing, but I don’t want to give it to anyone. I’m not going to your fucking sheebeen birthday party with your antivaxer Facebook mate and I wouldn’t want to go for a lock in with all The Lads just in from the ferry at the best of times?!?
Got my booster the 28th and it was my 3rd pfizer. I was flattened, fluey exhausted only feeling better today. Starting to think I just caught covid on the 26th.
Previous 2 pfizer just got a sore arm
