Hi, my name is Cealan Goan. I am from lovely Bundoran in County Donegal and whenever I was just 18 months old I drank caustic soda; a chemical used for cleaning sink drains, something that should not be ingested. About 12 years ago, I was featured in a TV3 (now Virgin Media) docuseries that followed patients in Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Over Covid, numerous people from Australia and England primarily had reached out to me to tell me they had seen my story and were curious as to how I was doing since that program was aired. Apparently I had gone viral on YouTube in those two countries as they had aired my episode over there and the comments were inundated with people asking for updates; as a result of this, a good friend of mine helped me shoot this documentary to tell the story from my perspective with the help of friends and family.

The goal is to hopefully inspire others who may be going through something traumatic that there is light at the end of the tunnel, accepting their are obstacles in front of you and owning them are key! Any and all reviews are extremely welcome 💚

  1. Fair play Cealan. I’m just giving it a watch now and wow, thank God those off duty doctors were visiting the hospital and able to step in! Glad you’re doing so well after going through so much

Edit: I’ve just finished it and it’s really well put together and professional. Well done to all.

  2. Dude you’re an inspiration to the rest of us. Crazy story and just goes to show that you can never be too careful when kids are about.
Keep on doing what you’re doing and be that voice and spread the word about being so careful as accidents happen and your not told this stuff you become complacent.

    Word up dude !

  3. Wow, Caelan you’ve turned out to be a fine young man despite all the odds against you. What an amazing story. Your poor parents what they must have gone through. Great story and delighted for you all.

  4. Fair play, man.

The world needs more inspiring stories like yours.

    Keep on, keeping on.
