  1. Damn so the feeling everyone has about people called Kevin & Kenny or Vicki etc being often not so intelligent, isn’t actually a feeling. There’s actual data to back this up!

    Thanks for this post OP!

  2. So basically the saying of having a Y in your name basically ruins your life still holds up.

I don’t know anyone with a Y in their name that isn’t margi.

  3. Unfortunately I have a name ending in -y. Unfortunately because I don’t like it. So far I haven’t had any problem in life with this name. I have a master diploma, good job, good savings, stable relationship, my own house… I just want to say we’re not all margi or stupid…

  4. I remember a boss back in the day said that “Kenny” and “Kevin” are lower-class names. I was aghast!

I advised her to tell her friends to go with the original – and unpronounceable – Irish names of *Cainnech* and *Caoimhín*. 😅

  5. Suprised that my name is spelled here like it’s actually written and not like everyone misspells it.

  6. Super racist and discriminatory white people article/post that deserves to be cancelled immediately for only having white people names. Wow so rude i am trembling. This triggers me so much.

Shaneequa, Mohammed and Abdul Abdullah Abdessamet arent even on the list

  7. It’s shocking to me that some people in this thread mix up intelligence with level of education, be it on purpose or not. It’s really not ok to dismiss those people as being simply less intelligent. They were set back in life, early on, more often than not because of reasons over which they had no control.

But hey, it’s funny because you know a Kenny who drove an mbk booster and knocked up his girlfriend Tamara when they were 17, right?

  8. I wasn’t expecting to see half of the names in my family in the lower parts

Then again it kinda makes sense in my case

  9. My name is Maarten, my brother’s name is Ruben. Both of our parents have a master’s degree in economics. So anecdotal evidence backs up the data
