  1. 1. Could he be removed from his position?
    2. If so, why is it still there?

  2. I don’t understand this… if it’s just a rule…. Change it. But change it slightly so that it requires 3 people to hold up legislation. That way you could say that at least 2 states want to hold it up and not just one obstructionist.

A government of 300+ million people should
Not be held hostage by 1

  3. Could someone primary a turnip against him to run next time he runs?

  4. Tuberville works for Russia, Iran and their lackeys Hamas, apparently.

  5. Tuberville was then heard saying, “I want America to fail.”

  6. This system is utterly broken if one asshole can do this.

  7. Stop imposing your religious beliefs on women Tuberville.

  8. Time for a deep dive into his campaign donors and where they come from.

  9. I hope people understand that we are going through one of the slowest coups, ever..

If January 6th was the rock thrown into the pond, then what we are seeing coming out of the Republican party now is the wake from that rock.

My point being, that the coup never ended, it simply expanded and transformed from a splash to increasingly large ripple….

  10. This guy is a real piece of shit and any military member in his state should be loud and proud about voting against him.

  11. When I say he hates the military that’s not hyperbole but a statement of truth.

  12. The Senate should’ve been working on all matter of candidate approvals while the House was without a Speaker. Promotions can still be approved without unanimous consent, it just takes longer. Keep the place open 24/7 to fill as many vacant positions as possible.

  13. i think at some point the pentagon goes rogue and quietly makes sure things don’t get out of control. makes it look like an accident. wouldn’t be surprised.

  14. While he is not up for reelection until 2027 at the least, with enough dems in the senate he could still be removed or at least marginalized. VOTE BLUE NEXT YEAR.

  15. Republicans are only motivated by obstructionism these days. They have no new ideas, no real policy for making people’s lives better and they’re undermining the security of Americans. Its time to kick them all out as much as possible.

There are elections as soon as Nov 7th in a few weeks. We will need to work at every level to elect more Dems over the next year. Join r/VoteDEM to find out how to get involved to elect Dems across the country, phonebank, textbank, volunteer, knock on doors or donate. Make a plan to vote and take someone with you

  16. Dear Senate. If you support the military, expel him.

The Democrats are probably a lock. So you just need 10 to 20 Republicans. He could be gone tomorrow.

  17. Bought and paid for by Moscow. Investigate him. You won’t have to dig too deep. I guarantee it.

  18. The Republican Party of treason in a nutshell. I think we should start enforcing our laws for officials for once instead of allowing them fail their oath of office. I’m sure he’s gotten dark money from our enemies.

  19. Just fucking start voting on them one by one. Doing nothing is dumb as fuck.

  20. If the guy had an ideological opposition to abortion, and he was holding up a couple of meaningless bureaucratic promotions over a policy that enabled thousands of abortions to take place…..I’d still be opposed to his position and his tactics, but I could at least somewhat fathom his stance.

But that’s not the case AT ALL.

He is single-handedly crippling our military, and accomplishing virtually nothing. He’s posturing and getting press time – nothing else.

According to [this article](https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/26/politics/tommy-tuberville-military-nominations/index.html), “approximately twelve” women in uniform have had abortions under the policy he is protesting. TWELVE. While 300 high level military promotions are being blocked during a time of war.

    Absolutely disgusting.

    >In September, Wicker sent a letter to Austin asking him to clearly articulate how many servicewomen had actually used the reimbursement policy, writing, “I received information that the total number of women who have been granted administrative absence and reimbursed travel pursuant to this policy is approximately 12.”

  21. >Tuberville, declining to provide specifics, said that members of the military tell him that his holds are not impacting readiness – something which the Pentagon and White House have repeatedly highlighted in their arguments urging the senator to lift his objections.
“If I thought this was happening, I wouldn’t be doing this. And I’ve told you that all along. And the people that I trust tell me that it’s not,” he told CNN.

He’s either a bad liar, woefully ignorant, or both.

Whatever the case, his useless ass needs to be kicked to the curb for dereliction of duty.

  22. At some point, when a person strives this hard to weaken the US military, you gotta ask who he is helping? China? Russia? Because it sure as hell isn’t the USA.

  23. Anyone who saw Tuberville coach at Auburn already knew he doesn’t give a shit about defense.

  24. Tuberville is a traitor, just like the rest of the MAGA sheeple.

  25. We have seen this play before – He’s setting up so MAGA can potentially pack the military forces with ideologue sycophants, just like they did to the Supreme Court.
