I’d never even heard of Blackness until I moved to Linlithgow – but it’s a really lovely spot, both the castle and the town.
West coast here and I’ve never heard of this castle before, so thank you for giving me another place to visit next time I’m on the east coast. I actually came here to give another 2 locations where they filmed Outlander. Heads of Ayr was used for a small boat scene (I’ve never watched the show) and they filmed a sex scene at Hunterston power plant. Not the actual nuclear plant itself, but the large house at the entrance to the power plant. I only know these because I worked for a car rental company that delivered vehicles to the shooting locations.
