That’s well up there with some of the most wasteful spending proposals I’ve ever seen. Do SF supporters genuinely believe there is endless amounts of taxpayers money to spend on handouts to everyone, because I’m beginning to think they do?
I have no idea how to apply for it. I have over €80k left and I’m lost.
Homeowners are not a group that we should be spending money on, quite frankly all evidence shows that there is fear of them.
The original measure is a blatant attempt of vote buying and Pearse Doherty can fuck off wanting to give even more money a privileged group. This is €140 million that could have been used to help people who actually need it.
What a joke that whole scheme is.
Give me a sec to tune up my teeny tiny violin.
If you own a home with less than €80 k owed on it, comparatively speaking, you’re in a very good position in this country.
As they should be, scheme shouldn’t exist in the first place but obviously shouldn’t be giving handouts to ppl who have basically paid off their house.
This is just SF being critical for the sake of it
Mortgage relief scheme.
We are fucked.
Another ‘great’ idea by the Government for scheme no one can utilise, let’s throw it on the dog shite pile with Home for All and that ilk.
How does the work? Is it a case of applying for it, or is automatically applied somehow
