Hello,
I currently have a German D-visa which has in the supplementary sheet a note “Blaue Karte EU”. Does it count as a blue card?
I have the following questions:
1- Can I work with this visa directly?
2- What should I do right after Anmeldung? (Like applying to residency permit) I live in Leipzig and I’ve found this: [https://english.leipzig.de/youth-family-and-community/foreign-nationals-and-migrants/foreigners-authority/staying-for-the-purpose-of-employment/residence-permit-as-a-foreign-employee-and-an-eu-blue-card/](https://english.leipzig.de/youth-family-and-community/foreign-nationals-and-migrants/foreigners-authority/staying-for-the-purpose-of-employment/residence-permit-as-a-foreign-employee-and-an-eu-blue-card/)
However it says:
– Proof of ability to secure living costs – wage/pay slips for the last three months where available (copy)
Should I wait until getting paid my first salary or wait a bit more?
3- I have come here with my wife (she also has a D-visa, we got our visas together). What should my wife do? Should she apply for a different residency permit/work permit or something else?

national visa (D) is that you should take it from your origin country to enter Germany, when you arrive you transfer it to Blue Card
