Voice of America journalist Miroslava Gongadze cites an anonymous high-ranking source in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine:^1
>According to high-ranking official in @GeneralStaffUA, as a result of the meeting between the military command of Ukraine and the military command of the allies, the pace of supplying weapons to Ukraine will not decrease. In January 🇺🇦 will receive new 300 km range missiles. — mgongadze (@MGongadze) October 26, 2023
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba previously announced that the US plans to supply more ATACMS ballistic missiles to Ukraine and to continue delivering long-range missiles in the future.
He did not specify which missile variants are to be transferred.

Arsenal of Democracy at work…keep it up!
Good, excellent news.
Sorely needed to destroy the drone factories and other military facilities deep inside Russia
so, December then
Say bye bye Kerch Bridge.
If they do get the unitary warhead ATACMS, as this suggests, then the M48 warhead is specifically designed for killing hard targets like bunkers, bridges, and ships.
Which is baaaaaad news if you live in Crimea.
“Currently, Ukraine operates the Franco-British Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG air-launched cruise missiles having an operational range of 550 km, and the US-supplied M39 (ATACMS Block I) tactical ballistic missiles – the earliest variant of the MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System, having the range of 165 km.
The unnamed missile cannot be the Swedish-German 500+ km range Taurus KEPD 350 air-launched cruise missile, which Ukraine has been requesting but Berlin consistently refuses to supply.
If Gongadze’s report is confirmed, Ukraine may probably receive one of the newer variants of ATACMS. There are three main ATACMS variants with an operational range of up to 300 kilometers, all having GPS-aided guidance, unlike the earliest ATACMS Block I with inertial guidance:
M39A1 (ATACMS Block IA) missile carries 300 bomblets.
M48 (ATACMS Quick Reaction Unitary) carries the 230 kg penetrating high explosive blast fragmentation warhead.
M57 (ATACMS TACMS 2000) carries the same warhead section as the M48.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced the US plans to supply more ATACMS ballistic missiles to Ukraine and to continue delivering long-range missiles in the future. However, the minister did not specify which missile variants are to be transferred.”
Just send enough outdated tomahawks to overwhelm air defense
“according to a high-ranking source in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”; Obviously Russians knew it to even before, otherwise it would not be good to deliver such information openly. That means Russians in their Crimean airfields will be in relative safety till January 2024.
So i guess the US finally have a timeline for the PrSM?
Man ,give them to Ukraine NOW ! Wtf
Stop with the delays. Give Ukraine what it needs to win.
Imho send em now and surprise em. Isn’t like the Putlerites don’t lie with every breath.

> […] only versions with shorter 102-mile (165-kilometer) ranges had been sent to Ukraine so far. “It’s not even long-range, right? Even the 300 kilometers [range variant] is not really a long range [weapon] from the military standpoint
I dunno, reaching out and touching someone with fairly high precision 100 miles away seems… _pretty long range_ to me, at least for day-to-day combat strikes… 186 miles especially so. Placed in the middle of Ukraine, a range of 186 miles could accurately hit anywhere in approximately _half_ of the territory of the country, which is wild to me.
It’s crazy how even in the last several decades we’ve seen such advancements in range capability for accurate strikes. The farthest someone can see, give or take, is 3 miles, due to the curvature of the earth. Back in WW2, US forces could already fire ~4x beyond maximum visible range with accuracy (11-13 miles with their artillery). Our forefathers would be amazed at the idea of being able to strike targets accurately and regularly at distances of 100-200 miles away. Nowadays there are many nations around the world with munitions that can strike well beyond that.
The restriction on using NATO-supplied weapons to strike war targets in Russia MUST be lifted. It will be nearly impossible for Ukraine to drive Russia out otherwise.
