Picture doesn’t do a great job of showing it, snapped it very quickly.
But I thought there was a nice sense of irony that a poster pointing out one of the core issues in regard to accommodation right now being vulture landlords, has a watermark printed in the the bottom right hand corner, “supported by the government of Ireland”
Sorry what’s the issue here? Government trying to provide resources.
***“Supported by the government of Ireland”*** *:* Making shapes, while playing the sham.
Not sure what you’re giving out about here. Yes, we have a housing crisis, but I haven’t heard of an actual solution from any party. My only solution would be to allow high rises and have some kind of government buying scheme, but that’s besides the point. The reality is that our country’s young people emigrated since forever. Now Dublin is the only English speaking capital in the EU, we have a huge amount of people from all over the world who want to live here and our youth are staying.
We live in a country where we have access to good information that helps us. This is funded by the government. Yes, they’re in charge while in the middle of a housing crisis, but that doesn’t mean they’re ‘out to get you’. Varadkar, knob that he is, isn’t plotting your downfall or enjoying the fact that you’re poor. Hospitals are also funded by the government, is that worth sneering at? Child benefit payments, double Christmas dole payments, would you be posting about those too
Yeah the government should do better to ensure standards are maintained in the rented accommodation. But threshold is a very important charity that needs support to help tenants against landlords breaking the rules.
The Leopards Eating Face Party has announced they will provide funds to charities that support people who’s face was ate by a Leopard.
r/Ireland …the only place on the internet where you’ll hear arguments that the government shouldn’t support renters any more
You all wanted open borders, mass immigration and diversity, stop whinging about the consequences.
