I’m currently unemployed and looking for a new job, unfortunately open jobs in my field (handyman/maintenance service) are not common. But hey, I got an offer to start somewhere! The problem is, the bruto wage is about €3,5/h less than I’m used to, it was exactly the same amount of wage/h (bruto) at the last 3 places I worked so I guess it was a barema or something, I really don’t know a lot about this stuff. When calculating my netto wage online it’s just €100-150/month less than before meaning I’ll be paying a lot less taxes on my wage, roughly €350/m.
So my question is: how will this affect my pension/vacation money/end of the year bonus/… and are there other things I should worry about or am I just fine? Tbh I can live with that wage, sucks a bit that I’ll have to cut back on my savings and/or expences but hey. I’m just a bit scared I’ll get a lot less vacation money etc. I also got a tax return every year which I doubt I would still get when paying +€4000/year less, I’m even guessing I’ll have to pay extra instead of getting a return.
Also, looking up PC140.03 (where I would work in) and my category (2.1 non-driving) it seems they would pay me +€1/h below minumum wage. I’m actually a bit offended by this, especially considering my work experience and special skills they were enthusiastic about at the interview.
Personally I feel like giving them the finger but then again I think I will really like doing this job and I’m already at home a whole month and sick and tired of trying to get the days to pass.
Thanks for reading, now I’m off to drink some cara pils accompanied by salted peanuts and do absolutely nothing like a genuine dopper.
And to prove I don’t mind paying taxes: here’s a pic of my dad’s cat to pay reddit tax.

Since you are unemployed and sick and tired of staying at home.
1) take the job,
2) keep looking for another one.
3) once you do get a better paying job (easier to bargain when you are employed than unemployed, that’s just the way it is) give your resignation and go to the other job.
3.1) if the current job is trying to keep you and increase your salary. Tell them you expected them to pay you correctly from the get go, you’ve already moved on and wish them good luck. Under no circumstances you are staying at a job that didn’t tried to pay you fairly in the first place.
