Russia finally “ready” for Ukraine peace talks

  1. >The Kremlin has specified a few conditions that are non-negotiable for Russia, including that Ukraine must accept the September 2022 annexation of four of its regions—Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia—following referendums called by Putin that were deemed illegal by the international community.

They must have forgotten the last time they tried this and was told to go fuck themselves.

  2. Zero difference from earlier in the war.

Still demanding a huge part of Ukraine to officially transfer to Russia, while changes to Ukraine’s government and military are negotiable.

  3. Is this official? That must mean they are at least partially eff’d.

  4. Leave. Turn Putin in/over to the ICC at The Hague. Pay repatriations including bond servants from surviving military excluding high command. Otherwise “Fuck you Russian warship!” And the Moscva aka Kremlin AND ALL IN Russian church cult too!

  5. 3 days, in and out. There won’t be anyone to fight.

Bring your parade uniforms for our triumphant march through Kiev.

  6. Are they ready to restore pre-2014 borders and leave Ukraine?

  7. Withdraw your troops and surprise no more war! Seems pretty simple.

  8. I’m very pro ukraine, but it seems that the likelihood of ukraine giving up some land has been increasing for the past few months(since the counter offensive stalled).

I’d love to see russia absolutely kicked out, but I think due to the lack of continuous support, it is likely we will see ukraine cede pre 2022 occupied donbass, and potentially more.

I really hope that ukraine can speed up/intensify it’s river crossing operation as that feels like the last hope for a major breakthrough.

All of this is just my own opinion, so take it with a palmful of salt

  9. Russia is no longer negotiating from a position of strength.

Also, Russia cannot be trusted. They showed this at the start of the invasion.

There is no reason to negotiate with the invader until the invader leaves.

  10. If they could get some sort of agreement worked out that the rest of Ukraine joins nato immediately, everyone in those regions is free to move out of those areas, and all pows and removed people from ukraine are returned, then I’d take that deal. Nato membership would pretty much guarantee most of Ukraine will be safe from Russia.

  11. Yeah I’m really just gonna call this status quo, russia asking for the same thing they asked for last time.

I could see a deal being negotiated where russia returns the captured regions and people and gets out of having to pay some or all of the war reparations, but expecting to keep territory after being routinely embarrassed by a military way down the ranking list from them?

Either dellusions or just words, either way, this is a nothing development.

  12. That’s not “peace talks”.

    That’s capitulation.

  13. The geopolitical situation is no different now than it was in February 2022, the day of the invasion. Ruzzia chose this. They must choose to leave! Ukraine doesn’t need to grant permission for ruzzia to leave its territory. International law prevents Ukraine from attacking retreating forces. Just turn around and travel east until the men speak orcish. It’s really simple.

  14. They’re losing the war so they’ll try to win the negotiation.

  15. Russia’s “peace” plan:

    1. We keep occupying all the stolen territories, including Crimea.
    2. You don’t attack us.
    3. We’ll invade you again next year.

  16. Russia just wants time to regroup and continue its assault on Ukraine.

  17. Well that’s 💩 because they only want to regroup

  18. If they can still talk they are still alive and still lying. No peace before every russian leader is swinging from a lightpost in red square

  19. Where were they when Zelenskyy was begging for peace on day 1 of the invasion?

  20. Since we’re submitting ridiculous non-negotiable demands, here’s a few more:

    * A return of all Ukrainian territory, including Crimea.
    * Reparations for the damage inflicted during the invasion.
    * A return of all kidnapped citizens.
    * Formal apologies for attempting to erase Ukrainian language, culture, and history.
    * Vladimir Putin turns himself into the ICC in the Hague.
    * Russia grants independence to regions of non-Russian ethnic majority populations.
*Russia gives up its nuclear arsenal.
*Russia creates a 150 km demilitarized buffer zone within its own territory along the entire Ukraine border.
*Russia sends a space ship to the moon and carves in Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s face so it is visible from Earth.
*Russia passes a law banning vodka within the nation.

We can compromise on only the last two.

See how crazy that sounds? And yet, it is more plausible than the shit they keep suggesting.

    Fuck off, Vlad, you’re drunk.

  21. lol… good fight you tried. Now clear your sorry ass recruits out of Ukraine so you can go back and fix your broken country.

  22. If anything this is aimed at Americans who don’t want to give money to Ukraine

  23. They just wanna stall until they replenish their cruise missile supply. Then they’ll do what they did last time.

  24. 💯 Russia wants an operational pause so they can rearm, ressuply and rebuild their ammo stocks. UK intelligence says they haven’t fired a cruise missile in a month, this is the time to hammer them and seize back as much territory as possible.
