Friendly reminder that Halloween had a replacement in Spain. It was called “Finaos”, which refers to who have passed away. It used to be celebrated in all of Spain, but Halloween has overtaken it as a festivity, and it is now only celebrated (to my knowledge) in the Canary Islands.

Its quite surprising how a festivity that used to be spanish, and was implanted in the Canary Islands inhabitants, has been lost everywhere but where it was brought to.
