I dont understand why any voter would be removed unless they registered with another district, were found dead or moved addresses. It just doesnt make sense.

I was thinking about the irony today: Register to buy a gun? “No, sir. That’s MY RIGHT.” Oh. Ok. Well so is voting. I should just be able to walk up and vote, right? “Well, wait just a minute. We need to verify you’re on the voter roll.” Fuckers.
This kind of BS needs to be investigated by the DOJ, and if it’s determined to be anything more than a completely random sampling, say anything more than 55/45, people need to be prosecuted. I have zero doubt that this “mistake” affected left-leaning voters more than right, and I have no doubt the ‘prior conviction’ thing is a cover for ‘hand selected people’ to remove.
“Administration officials stated that Virginia’s computer software had incorrectly counted probation violations of the voters — all of whom had been previously convicted of felonies — as new charges that rendered them unable to vote. ”
Software only does what it’s programmed and configured to do. So the way I’m reading this is someone issued the command to purge in production without doing a dry run to test for valid results. Why wasn’t this immediately rolled back once it became clear that it purged >10x the expected number?
Republican tactics:
1. The “whoops” defense.
2. No need to comply with that subpoena for emails, we said “whoops” already.
3. Appeal to a Trump judge.
