there is a clear and pretty lengthy period in which an abortion can be carried out legally. Not sure why that’s controversial .
>In 2021, a teenage girl with an unexplained early stillbirth faced a year-long criminal investigation that examined her text messages and search history before police dropped the case.
How is this happening in this country? I cannot imagine how traumatic it must be for the girl to have a teenage stillbirth _and_ be investigated for a year for it.
I dont agree with violating women’s right to privacy just because they ‘could’ have illegally aborted like it claims in the article. If the police really are constantly monitoring women for having stillborns that’s fucked and the entire department should be reprimanded for harassing vulnerable women for such a shit reason.
Can’t say I’ve ever been pregnant but I do wonder why you wouldn’t abort in the first 24 weeks, seems pretty bloody noticable by 12 but I dont think I can’t really judge without sounding like an arsehole. It seems like there’s enough time to make a decision with 24 weeks, after that I personally couldn’t really justify that since it’s just so close to the birth but that’s me.
If this is happening in this country I’ll happily take a side career as a smuggler for abortion drugs.
Can we stop importing Americas bullshit infringements for 5 minutes?
Why such an anti police agenda by the OP. Surely if you disagree with it (I don’t think they should be criminalised) you would target parliament, not the body tasked with upholding the law. That’s deeply worrying that someone would effectively dog whistle the police. Call out politicians – they make the law
Im not being funny but its heard of that men spike their partners unbeknownst to them with this kind of pill so investigation might not necessarily be incriminating of the woman as much as it is the partner.
That being said, why would someone feel the need to take this pill? And im genuinely curious, is there waiting lists for abortions too? I thought it was perfectly legal here
