  1. The stuff from Fukushima is probably pretty cheap.

  2. Just like the US tap water, japan’s seafood are safe to consume.

  3. When it comes to understanding the effects of radiation the Japanese probably know better then anyone how dangerous it may or may not be.

The only exception to that would be people that live in Pripyat

I think it is a good idea

  4. US military is probably like yeah this seafood isn’t a drop in the bucket compared to the shit we expose them to. Let’s get some cheap ass tuna.

  5. People don’t know this but other countries have released far more tritium into seawater than Japan is currently doing. This includes France and the UK. It’s a part of their normal operating procedures but because there wasn’t a disaster attached to it nobody notices.

  6. If the Chinese are banning importing Japanese seafood are they also going to stop fishing illegally?

  7. Chinese ban is purely politics and use seafood as another form of harassing weapons against Japan.

  8. The ban is only on fish FISHED by Japanese boats. Chinese boats can still go to this exact area and do fishing and they will sell/eat it and say nothing.

    It’s all political bullshit.

  9. It’s political theatre, China, the UK, and I think even the U.S.? (needs verification) release more metals and Tritium into waters than Japan will/just did.

Not saying it’s a good practice; but it’s negligible on the fish quality or associated risks

  10. Has anyone considered that the US military is able to offset the economic effect of a country the size of China?
